Super-Playable Sequence of FIVES unlocked!

The things I think of when I'm first waking up sometimes! haha

I had an epiphany about the Sequence of 5s this morning and honestly, I can't believe I didn't realize this sooner...

Normally, when you take a 3NPS diatonic scale (let's use Harmonic Minor in this case since it rules), if you try to go through every single instance of 5 notes (that is, 12345 23456 34567, etc), then it involves an unreasonable amount of rolling technique — using the same finger across multiple strings but shifting finger angles so each note stays separated (ie, NOT the same as BARRING).

But what I realized this morning is that when you skip every other instance, and jump in thirds, your typical 3NPS "low-middle-high" finger sequence stays intact and it becomes MUCH more playable, fretting-hand-wise.
